The vast forest of Northern
Maine has over the decades, evolved into an ideal
habitat for the largest member of the deer family,
the Moose. Presently, Maine boasts
one of the largest Moose populations in the lower 48 states providing a wonderful opportunity to bag that once in a lifetime trophy bull. Statewide the rate of success on Moose consistently ranges over
90%. A large Bull Moose can weigh 1500 lbs. and stand 7' at the shoulder, without question the most majestic of all North American big game animals. The Moose fears no other animal and even looks upon
man with disdain.
Because of the ever increasing population, the state of Maine has now increased the season from one week to two weeks. Permits are issued by lottery draw. Applications
